Limited Warranties

Thrive Home Furniture Follows Industry Standards. Industry standardsare defined as the established rules, regulations, and generally accepted operating procedures, practices and requirements defined by national trade associations, and state and local government laws relevant to a product or service.

Frames Used In Upholstered and Leather Products

Limited Lifetime Warranty

A Limited Lifetime Warranty applies to all frames used in sofas, couches, love seats, upholstered chairs, ottomans, sectionals and  beds.  Thrive Home Furniture warrants these components to you, the original retail purchaser, to be free from material manufacturing defects. Lifetime means the normal useful life of the product.

Thrive Home Furniture only uses natural Organic sustainable wood. Wood is a natural product will include natural knots, growth rings such as mineral marks, pitch pockets, color and grain variation that are not covered under the terms of this warrantee. This is considered a natural aspect of the product.

This warranty applies under conditions of normal household use but does not apply to fading (furniture should not be placed in direct sunlight) or defects that result from negligence, soiling, improper cleaning, misuse, abnormal use, accident, or commercial use. For fabrics on our chairs, sofas, sectionals, ottomans and beds, this warranty does not apply to piling, cleaning, shrinkage, wrinkling, wear, dye-lot variance, damage or failure due to chemical treatment other than by the fabric manufacturer, or damage caused by pets.

Any costs for packing and shipping are covered under this warranty. Service claims under this warranty should be made through the Customer Service Department from which the furniture was purchased. To obtain proper service under this warranty, the original purchase receipt should be kept.

Lacquer Coat

We use a lacquer coat as our final finishing process, which adds to the great depth and clarity of our finish. Lacquer finishes may be cleaned by wiping the surface with a soft cloth dampened with water. Our recommended cleaning solution is to mix one tablespoon of vinegar to one quart of water. Use a soft cloth and wipe with the grain. Use another clean, soft cloth to wipe up any excess liquid to make certain the surface is completely dry.

Here are a few suggestions to keep your furniture looking beautiful for generations:

Modern finishes are formulated to have a high degree of resistance to color change. However, most lacquers and lumbers will darken, or amber, over time. To minimize this effect, furniture should not be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time. If sunlight cannont be avoided it is recommended to rotate the piece(s) periodically to get even exposure.

All spills should be wiped off as soon as possible, including food and beverages, to reduce the chances of staining or leaving a ring or spot in the finish.

Furniture should not be exposed to extreme humidity or temperature. This can cause both the wood and the lacquer to crack.

Avoid the use of cheap, oily polishes or waxes. They will collect dust and over time leave a waxy build up or film of grime.

Extremely hot (coffee cups, dishes, cigarettes) and cold (drink cans) items should not be placed directly on the finish. This could damage the wood and the finish.

Avoid the use of rubber, vinyl, and plastics items such as some placemats, TV pads, lamp pads, etc., as they may cause deterioration of the finish. We recommend using cloth backed items for these purposes.

Springs

5 Year Limited Warranty:

The metal spring systems are sinuous, wire seat springs, and, where applicable, back springs, and are secured by heavy gauge tie wires clipped at all intersections.  Thrive Home Furniture warrants these systems to you, the original retail purchaser, for five years from the date of purchase, against spring breakage caused by metal fatigue or spring clips pulling loose from the frame.  Thrive Home Furniture will pay, within one year from the date of purchase, reasonable and customary labor rates to repair or replace the defective parts and shipping costs to and from Thrive Home Furniture or a repair technician designated by the Customer Service Department of Thrive Home Furniture at no charge to the original retail purchaser. After one year from the date of purchase, the spring warranty covers replacement parts only, and the original retail purchaser will be responsible for labor, packing, and all shipping and transportation costs.

Cushioning

3 Year Limited Warranty:

All seat & back cushion cores will soften with normal use and will conform to the shape of the user. Abnormal wear and abnormal loss of resiliency should not be confused with the softening and flattening of the foam and fibers and are not defects and this shall be considered normal wear, and shall not be considered a loss of resiliency or a material manufacturing defect. Three years from the date of purchase, Thrive Home Furniture will replace, for the original retail purchaser only, a cushion core in an unattached (loose) seat cushion (an “Unattached Cushion”) that has material manufacturing defects, provided that the original retail purchaser (i) follows the Claim Procedure set forth herein and (ii) returns the defective cushion core contained within an Unattached Cushion to Thrive Home Furniture, Attn: Customer Service Department14108 Towne Ave., Los Angeles CA 90061, together with the product serial number and other information required under the Claim Procedure set forth in these Limited Warranties. Leather

1 Year Limited Warranty:

Thrive Home Furniture, warrants to you, the original retail purchaser, for a period of one year from the date of purchase, all leather to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, seam slippage, cracking, and dye transfers. Leather is a natural product, and, as such, each hide will reflect its own individuality. Some variations of shade and tone are to be expected as are the nicks, scratches, and wrinkles that only occur in genuine leather; these characteristics are in no way to be considered a defect. Thrive Home Furniture, will pay, within one year from the date of purchase, reasonable and customary labor rates to repair or replace the defective parts and shipping to and from Thrive Home Furniture, or a repair technician designated by the Customer Service Department of Thrive Home Furniture, at no charge to the original retail purchaser.

LEATHER CARE

  • Dust or vacuum regularly
  • Use lukewarm distilled water for spills or stains to prevent watermark rings or stains.
  • Use a soft cloth like a chamois or a soft sponge to prevent scratches or abrasions.
  • Wipe lightly in one direction.
  • Blot with a dry cloth and let the leather air dry naturally.
  • Use water-based Leather Master leather care and cleaning products.
  •  Do not place furniture in direct sunlight. Remember the sun is a natural bleaching agent.
All fabric and leather upholstery will lighten or discolor in natural sunlight over time.
  • Do not place furniture on or near heat sources. Heat can cause natural leather to crack and age prematurely.
  • Leather is a natural product and requires some care to maintain the natural beauty of the hide.
  • For minor or slight scratchers on the surface, use chamois or clean fingers to gently buff the scratch
  • Not all scratches have the same depth so the technique may not work on deeper scratches. The friction and heat from the rubbing helps redistribute the wax in the surrounding area to cover the scratch.
